Milledge Avenue Baptist Church is selling pumpkins again. The hours advertised are noon till 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. till 8 p.m.on Saturdays, and noon till 7 p.m. on Sundays. The sale dates are yesterday through October 31.

UGA associate professor Alfie Vick will speak on traditional Cherokee land usage and ethnoecology at Athens-Clarke County Library’s Appleton Auditorium on Sunday, September 22, at 3:00 p.m. Vick will focus on key principles of land use and ethnoecology, as well as discuss these principles’ impact on the construction of Diligwa Village. The village, located in the Cherokee Heritage Center in Oklahoma, is the most accurate representation of an 18th century Cherokee village ever constructed.
