Well, its a little late to comment I suppose, but I will anyway. We went to the Bot Garden Sunday to hear the Solstice Sisters and the Classic City Band. The Sisters had a bass and a dobro player backing them and it was great music. While I appreciated the strings, these ladies are at their best with just their vocals. They seem to get better and better every time we hear them.
The Classic City band has grown quite a bit and we heard that they are now supporting music students at UGA with scholarships. Thats impressive. Their performance was very solid again this year. We typically hear their Xmas concert and their July 4 concert and really look forward to both.
I think the crowd there for this event was the largest to date, so we are getting there early next time.
