Miyazaki Film Festival (Free!)

Come to the Lamar Dodd School of Art (Tonight at 7pm) to enjoy the 3rd movie of the Miyazaki Film Festival: Laputa: Castle In The Sky! This will be the final Miyazaki Film Festival screening of Fall Semester, so make sure you attend! It's Free!!!!!!!!!!! (Room S151 Lamar Dodd).

Laputa: Castle In The Sky is a 1986 film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It is the first film created and released by Studio Ghibli, although is considered the second by some since NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind was created by the founding members two years before. Plot: Pazu, a mining apprentice, finds a young girl wearing a glowing pendant and floating down from the sky.
Together, they discover both are searching for the legendary floating castle, Laputa, and vow to unravel the mystery of the luminous crystal around her neck. Their quest won't be easy, however. There are air pirates, secret agents, and astounding obstacles to keep them from the truth -- and from each other.
