Curious abut when that picture was taken? Jose Blanco, PhD., assistant professor of the University of Georgia’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences, will teach you how to use the clothes in photographs to help date the time period when the photo was taken. You are invited to bring old photos to the presentation.

Dr. Blanco is manager of the college’s Historic Clothing and Textile Collection. He is originally from Costa Rica and has a Ph.D. in Theater from Florida State University. His current research focuses on dress and popular culture in the second half of the twentieth century with an emphasis on male fashion. He is also interested in the relation between fashion and art.
