Sordid Lives

The buzz is circulating about "Sordid Lives" from University Theatre. You still have another weekend to see it at the University of Georgia's Fine Arts Building. It's called a "black comedy about white trash" that covers themes of coming of age and growing up in Texas. The story involves a family reunion on the occasion of the passing of the family's matriarch -- brought about by some kind of accident while committing adultery in a motel. The singing role of Bitsie Mae Darling is played by Winterville's Wilma. The remaining shows are at 8 p.m. each night through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Visit the official website for more information.

Unforunately Sordid lives is sold out, but if you come early (like 7) you may be able to get a seat b/c people sometimes don't show up. It's an amazing show with an amazing cast, and be sure not to miss any of the rest of UGA's productions
