blogger environment

Well, I for one, like the blogger set up much better than typepad. It has a much better look/feel to it and is easier to use. At least, those are my impressions so far. When will the transition be complete?

Here is a bug, it seems. If I have a gmail session going in one tab and go to this blog in another tab through the common interface, I am required to enter my gmail password again. Once I do that, I access the blog OK. Now, if I log out of the blog, that also disables my login session at gmail in the other tab, so I can't then chat with others. Seems to me like it ought to be one way or the other but not both.

That reminds me of some of the weird login rigmarole with Yahoo and Flickr. Anyway, I've been a bit hesitant to pull the trigger here and move the domain name to this blog. I guess I decided that I will not repost everyone's material immediately but will occasionally repeat the "classic" articles. I will also give the authors the archive file. Should I go ahead and move the domain name?

Oh, one more thing. I could move the domain name here, meaning all the old links will be broken. Or I could redirect everything at the old domain name to athensworld.blogspot.com, but then we wouldn't have our cool domain name anymore. What do you think?
